The driver side window on my sportage will not let up or down, but I can hear the motor run when I try to let it up or down. I think the linkages have come off or broken. What can I do to fix it?
Take it apart!
Carefully remove the inner door panel and with a flashlight take a peak see what's going on or not going on in side the door.
Never had a KIA door panel apart myself but make sure you have all the screws out and takte extra care pulling it off the door as there is a lot of pastic that can snap if not done correctly. If you can here the motor running, your regulator wires have come off track or have binded up. You will need a new window regulator to fix this problem.Car Repair Talk's forum.
