my 92 camaro rs is doing crazy things, the fan and the power windows wont work, the battery doesnt charge all the fuses are fine but the auto hatch release fuse is removed but it now makes noise when i push the switch. i checked all the fuses, i put a new altenator in it and charged the battery nothing works, any suggestions?
Have you checked the fusible links?
Do you have power at all of the fuses or did you just visually inspect them?
Do you have power at the battery terminal of the alternator? i started the car and removed the poitive battery terminel and the car died, what kind of a fusable link could that be? do fuse blocks go bad?
confusing? DON'T DO THAT!!!! You can severly damage the computer and fuel Injection system. It would have stayed running if you alternator was good. That is the reason that your battery is not charging, you need a new alt. I don't know about the rest....It's kinda a stumper. Get a new alternator and we can go from there. Sounds like a voltage regulator problem. If it's internally located within the alternator, like most GM's are. Then it's definately a voltage regulator issue. The non-charging part probably is caused by bad brushes Car Repair Talk's forum.
