2001 Chevy Venture Electrical Problems?!

Question: I have a 2001 Chevy Venture LS (love it) but I have a few issues...
1.) The interior/exterior lights when on pulse?! They remain on but have a pulsing in them??? Get brighter and them dimmer... very odd!
2.) The front defroster flapper does not always go over from the front dash vents to the front defroster vents. Not sure why?!
Anyone with any advice... please respond!
I am a Mother of three young kids and need to get this fixed! Needless-to-say, I do not have money to burn on this!!!
THANK YOU! I hate my venture, it has done exactly what you are having problems with since the first day i owned it....I have had more problems with this van than what it is worth. These problems are truly annoying, to be sure. And they are also harmless. It will cost you more to fix them than it's worth. Maybe if you bring in your Venture for serious work you might mention it to the mechanic; otherwise I suggest you just live with them. Hi, concerning the problem with the interior lighting, i found the following service bulletin listed with NHSTA.

Make : CHEVROLET Model : VENTURE Year : 2001
Service Bulletin Num : 110501 Date of Bulletin: MAY 11, 2001
NHTSA Item Number: 619790
Component: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Summary:
SOME CUSTOMERS MAY COMMENT THAT THE INTERIOR AND / OR THE EXTERIOR LAMPS VARY IN INTENSITY (FLICKER). *TT

Concerning the problem with the air flow flapper, I found this service bulletin, but not sure this is the same problem as you are having. You can decide.

Make : CHEVROLET Model : VENTURE Year : 2001
Service Bulletin Num : 030138013A Date of Bulletin: DEC 01, 2003
NHTSA Item Number: 10005149
Component: VISIBILITY:DEFROSTER/DEFOGGER SYSTEM:WINDSHIELD:BLOWER
Summary:
MINIMAL AIR FLOW IN VENT POSITION WITH FULL HEAT. *TT

What i would suggest is to go to your nearest Chevy dealer service dept. and tell them the problems you are having and show them these service bulletins. The service bulletin numbers will most likely be meaningless to them, but the fact that these are common problems will help with your cause as it will show them that you are an informed person and aware that these are common problems. Ask if these problems can be fixed under warranty. Even if your vehicle is out of warranty, many times Chevrolet will pick up the tab if the problem is a common one. If they want to charge you to fix the problems, then you may want to get bids on fixing them. You might even try going to more that one Chevy dealer about the problems if the first one turns you down as many times it is up to the service manager to decide if Chevy picks up the tab. Some service managers are more sympathetic than others. The lighting problem you may be able to live with, but the front defroster problem may be another story, depending on how often it occurs.

Hope this helps...good luckCar Repair Talk's forum.
