1998 Subaru Legacy solenoid repair - can't remove small wire

I've got a 1998 Subaru Legacy with a solenoid that clicks intermittently while trying to start. I bought some new contacts to repair it, but before I do that I was trying to clean all of the connections first. Unfortunately, I can't figure out how to get the small wire that goes to the solenoid off. It has some kind of a locking connector, and it is very difficult to get at with two hands or any tools.

Is there a trick to get this thing off? I'm sure if I removed the starter it would be much easier, but I'd like to clean and test everything first if I can. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks. I figured it out. In case anybody else stumbles across this looking for an answer... There is a groove running the length of the plastic connector. You need to insert a small screw driver or something similar (paper clip, small allen key, etc) into the groove and push down while at the same time pushing backwards to remove the connector. This releases the metal tab from the connector and mine popped right off when I did this. It took me quite awhile to figure it out and I'm really surprised I didn't see this mentioned in my Hayes manual or anywhere else I searched online. Thanks for the tip and follow up.
