Hi. I'm a novice and I recently bought a 66 dodge polara. V8, 318 CID Poly engine.
Today I was removing the instrument clusters and I when I pulled the cluster from the opening there was a pop like an electrical short. I know I should have disconnected the battery before messing with the instrument clusters but I didn't. Anyway after the pop nothing works. No lights, no dome light, no cigarette lighter, no juice at all. I checked the fuses and they're OK. I'm freaking out. Can anybody tell what might have happened and what I should do next? Thanks.
check your fusible links under the hood first, if you have not already. Also make sure that your battery is not discharged. thanks.
