My truck windshield wipers work great most of the time....but occasionaly when I turn them off they continue to run for a couple of minutes, usually stopping 1/2 way up the windshield. I turn them back on, and back off, and hope they work properly and stop in the down position, but I ususlly have to turn the motor off before they will stop.....any help?
Well, it's either a faulty switch or a bad wiper motor. Since the problem is occasional it will be hard to test the two items. Do you intend to make your own repairs?
Check with your GM dealer. There was a recall on some of the wiper modules.
I own a 91 and the recall doesnt go back that far.but the problem is still the wiper module.you can buy them aftermarket
Does anyone have infomation about the recall ? Like what year and make ?

Yes - I plan on doing the repair myself. I think I will start with the wiper module and see if it helps.Car Repair Talk's forum.
