I recently bought a 2003 Chevy-S-10 (4WD) Truck. On the front end, how many grease-gun fittings (Zirks) are there and where are they located? How can I know for sure that I am adding the (proper amount) of grease to each fitting? If anyone can help me with these questions I would appreciate it!!!! Thanks!!! -Todd Fjeldheim-
Todd, unless someone here actually has your exact truck, we won't know exactly where and how many.
Usually at any point where 2 pieces of the suspension and steering components come together and move against each-other will have a grease fitting.
Squirt grease in until the rubber boot bulges. If it starts oozing out first, then stop at that point. If you have a good seal left with the rubber boot, you don't want to go blowing it by forcing in too much grease.Car Repair Talk's forum.
