PO344-PT Cruiser 2004 Non turbo

Here is a dumb question ... I have the same issue and what I am having go on with the car is
it Stalls OR throws a P0344 error (intermittent cam shaft sensor)
I have had it to 3 Repair places Replaced the Computer (under warranty thank GOD)
the spark plugs and wires and a new Coil Pack. And the Cam shaft sensor (and its corresponding magnet)
They have looked at the timing belt and tell me its ok. How soon should the fan kick on ?

And what could this be. The Chrysler dealer told me it was Head pressure too high
My normal Mechanic tells me I HAVE NO IDEA
and what is odd is problem goes away for 2-4 weeks after a mechanic looks at it.
Im at my wits end I love my car (and love to hate it due to the Multifunction switch going)
is there any possibility that the AC, the stall(it happened once) and the P0433 code
are related?? The code gets thrown when the compressor kicks over hard.
and this can happen as far out as over an hour driving (it only happens in town when the
AC is on and once when I was coasting to check where I could merge on the highway)
and Yes the AC does not blow cold at all when I am parked.

P.s. This is a PT Cruiser 2004 Non turbo.

I have moved your question ansd started a new thread with it so it can be answered.

Thanks.. The only reason I dropped it into the spot I did is they seemed to have the same symptoms I did with my car.
BUT mine had "JUST ONE MORE THING" going on with it.
Thanks for the move It may bring closure to this once and for all..

After 2 weeks of having the High Speed Radiator fan hooked to the low speed relay
I have come to the conclusion that the compressor was the cause of the P0344 error code
Possibly my Idle is to low which was causing the engine to throw such a code..
If anyone gets this code please reset your computer drive around for a bit without
the AC on or while in your drive way turn the AC on and check to see if you feel a
fan blowing in front of the Engine block. If not then you have a bad Fan motor
a quick $175 do it your self fix. What I was told (by a Chrysler dealer was this
the compressor is overheating because it can not cool off. So the AC keeps kicking
on and off constantly they wanted $750 to fix it he said it was common) Bad part is you
probably once you get this fan fixes you will need to get more coolant added to your
AC due to ventingI was LOW in mine (I watched it vent 4 different times) Once the fan
is replaced you should not have the AC kicking on and off all the time.. Especially when
you are at a light or even in your drive way. But on the other hand if you still get the
P0344 code when you have the AC off then you have a totally different problem.
Good luck with your PT Cruiser.
