Hi, I have a 99 Malibu 3.1 V6. Yesterday while driving home from work the check engine light came on all of a sudden. I immediately checked for codes. I got P0171 bank 1, P0410, and P1404. P0171 is system too lean. P0410 is secondary air injection. P1404 is EGR system. The engine light was not on at all before this. I've had the car about 3 weeks. Also the ABS light shows up intermittently. ECM issue? or could one thing be causing all these codes other than the ECM? Thanks a lot.
I am not showing a P0410 code...I do have a P0401 code which is for an EGR fault as well as the P1404..
Yes both EGR codes can cause the P0171 code....you need to address the EGR codes first...that should take care of the other code....EGR could be at fault...also could be a PCM problem...you need to diagnose per the flow chart for those codes
Have the abs system scanned for codes too....
