96 Ford Taurus GL with tps error

96 Ford Taurus GL 3.0 v6 12v. with 150,000 miles. OBD II scan code P0122 error, tps pedal position sensor, circuit low input. I replaced the tps sensor for rough idle, confirmed with erratic voltage. battery cable was removed to reset computer. Still get P0122 error. Input cable checked for 5.0 v. Harness looks ok with no breaks / shorts. Any suggestions?
Check for binding throttle plate or linkage .
TP sensor not seated .
incorrect Idle speed.
bad ECM (PCM).
wiring harness circuit.
