Hi, I scanned my 95 camaro,50000 mi, 3.4L auto, Base Coupe, got No trouble codes, runs good, But on the scanner printout I noticed : quad driver 1 bad
quad driver 2 OK
quad driver 3 OK
quad driver 4 bad
I have no idea what this means or if I need to worry about it, as I said, The car runs fine, idles a tiny bit rough, but a new TPS helped that.
ANY info would be greatly appreciated.
If you have faulty quad drivers the ECM needs to be replaced. The drivers are integral. If you have no driveability problems and all of the injectors are firing, try a different scan tool. If it turns out to be a bad driver, you have to check the ECM wiring for shorts and have to check all of the solenoids for shorts or else you will fry the new computer if an output short exists.
Thanks very much for the info, I will re scan with a different tool & see what I get, thats a good first step.
