2003 Honda Accord LX cleaning fuel injection system

QUESTION: Can cleaning the fuel injection system on a 2003 Honda Accord LX cause the malfunction indicator light to illuminate inconsistently (i.e. 3-5 days at a time) and the need to replace the secondary oxygen sensor?

BACKGROUND:
I recently had my car in for an inspection. The car passed but the service station recommended I have my fuel injection system cleaned so I did. However, after I drove the car from the station, I noticed the malfunction indicator light was on. I got my manual out and it said to drive it 3 times and if the light did not go off after the 3rd time, to take it in for service. The light went off after the 3rd drive but came back on again and went off again and has gone on and off several times over the past 2 months. I took it back in to the service station, concerned that their cleaning of my fuel injection system may have caused the problem. They ran some diagnostics and said that, coincidentally, my oxygen sensor had gone bad. I then talked to a technician at a Honda dealership and he said that if the fuel injection system had been cleaned improperly, it could cause the O2 sensor to go bad (likened it to too much voltage causing a fuse to blow). Any support for this theory? I have had the same suspicions and will share with you all, what I have learned from reading labels on these cleaners. Some products you mentioned are advertising "safe for all sensors including O2 sensors". This has also been a problem on those Air Intake spray cleaners. Some of the solvents they used to use were very effective on sludge and gunk that builds up, but bad for the various sensors on the newer cars. They have definitely had to reformulate them. They don't work as well, but don't kill sensors!!
When buying injector cleaner you have to check if its o2sensor safe and come from a well know company
with a repeatable name ,in the last 10 years of cleaning injector systems i"ve never had a problem with this issue
Air Intake spray cleaners? if you buy the cheap brands then you are asking for trouble.
