I have a 1996 dodge avenger that will not go away. I replaced the mass flow Sen and it still comes back the second you turn on the key. Please Help.
Did you clear the code from memory after replacement of the MAF?
If not, clear the code...then test drive it and see if it returns.
If so,suggest looking closely at the MAF wiring/connector for any broken/frayed wires.
Also look for any air leaks at/near the MAF..
Yep I did that. I will clear the codes restart the truck and the ck engine light will go out BUT when I turn it off and restart it the code comes back on.
Well I found the problem. The computer was only putting out 2 volts on the low side of the curcit, it has to be 5 volts . I replaced the computer and the fault code is gone.
