1996 dodge avenger long stored problems

1996 dodge avenger. I bought it 22 days ago. It was stored in an a warehouse for 2 years because the guy who owned it thought it would some kind of collector car down the road but then decided different. long story short. ha ha. Now the car had sat for all that ime with a dead battery,so I drove it for 10 days and it failed NYS emissions test with 5 monitors not ready....catalyst,evaporative system, oxygen sensor, oxygen heater and egr system not ready.I took the car to the dodge dealership because they said the pcm needed to be updated or re-flashed, and now the car still does not pass with 4 monitors noready....catalyst,evap system, oxygen sensor, and oxygen sensor heater not ready.Any help would be great.Oh by the way, no check engine light on.
The thing is....these monitors has to run a trip cycle/ drive cycle to clear....there are procedures on how to drive the car to do this....most of the places that does the inspections can print this for you....some take a couple of days...some vehicles a couple of weeks, once I had to put 200 miles on a vehicle to clear these monitors.
thats pretty much what everyone keeps telling me, but now I no longer have an inspection sticker and was wondering if there was any other way to do this. Thanks any way.
You may need to have the thing scanned again looking for any pending codes. A pending code is stored in memory but will not turn on a check engine light. The computer stores this code and waits to see if the fault happens again, within a set of parameters, during a drive cycle. Some faults have to be seen three or four times consecutively before the light will come on. But under the right circumstances a pending code will stop the computer from running a complete monitor readiness check.
So if this car has an intermittent fault; you could drive the wheels off this thing and it may never run a full monitor check
Sorry but I think you’re going back to the garage for the tech’s to hunt down and catch the gremlin?

I don't know your state laws, but I'm able to write a letter, giving the the owner a 2 week advance on a dead inspection sticker....maybe you should check with a local repair shop and see if it applies there.LOL.
great news......it finally passed. thanks everyone for your input
