Hi I got the opportunity to buy a complete engine and transmission from a 1996 chevy S-10 with low milleage
So i've got a few questions for you:
1-Is 1995 chevy S-10 4 cylinder are OBD I and 1996 and later are OBD II ?
2-can it be swap in my 1995? (engine transmision and wiring)
3-Does my ecm will fit the newer engine electronic?
Thank
To anwser your first question yes ,but have to check the production date to be accurate. For anwser to#2 if your referring 95 to 96 theres the question of modifying you just can't swap like that cause the sensors are not compadible.....meaning OBDI won't work with OBDII parts and vice versa, and for question #3 is depending on still which type of ecm you have the OBDI or OBDII and the model #
Hi! and thank for the rapid anwser.
So if i understand every thing real clear, i can put the 96 engine and trans in my 95 but i will have to keep all the sensor, connector and wiring from my 95.
1- 95 and 96 engine do the use same thread and pattern hookup for the sensor?
