1992 E350 ford van code 56 22 23 67

I posted awhile back about some codes I was getting on a 92 E350 ford van with a 7.3 and over 200,000 on the drive train . Is itpossible to have all the sensors go bad at one time ? I have a wire pinched in the body the body that blew the fuse for the back up relay and the tailights . After fixing the wire and replacing the maxi fuse the overdrive light blinks . Monitor 4000 e says the throttle sensor ,Borometer sensor and the transmission temp sensor are out of wack . Could something have shorted these sensors ?
Your first mistake is assuming that sensors are the problem at all. Each code needs to be troubleshooted independently to determine the cause. There are many other possible causes for any given code. You need exact code numbers before even starting.

I have to ask what you mean by exact codes ? I get a code 56 22 23 and and a 67 if that helps I checked all the fuses and relays and all good
That's what i meant. You didn't post any code numbers in your original question. 2 of those codes are transmission related. I would probably start with the TPS because it would be the easiest to test. You should have 5v coming into it, ground on one wire and a varying voltage as the throttle is opened from about .5v to 5v on the other wire.

I got a 53 ,56,67,and a 22 hope you can help !!!! Thanks !!!
What happened to testing the TPS?

How are you getting these codes? Are you clearing them after working on it? Are you doing all 3 tests here? KOEO, KOER and memory?

I ran the KOEO test with full throttle on . I got the codes during that test . I then ran the KOER and got no codes and got a code 11 and memory was fine . I cleared the codes before doing any work because I am not sure what should be done . I reran the KOEO and the codes came back . I have done no work on the engine . Before all this happened from time to time I would get no throttle position sensor detected and a bad torque convertor . I could clear the code and go months with no problems .

I ran the KOEO test with full throttle on I ran the KOEO while holding the throttle wide open . Thats what my test equipment says to do . Hold throttle down why my Genysis 3.0 checks my sensors. Then I retrieve my codes Also I found I lost my horn at the button and I wondered if connected somehow ?
I wanted to let you know this is a diesel engine
Your scanner may be telling you to snap the throttle when your doing a KOER test but you can't do a KOEO test holding the throttle open. That's why your getting TPS codes.

My scanner tells me to hold the throttle down during the entire test .In fact both my Geysis and OTC 4000 E both tell me that . In the KOER it tells me to let it idle . Also I used my Breakout box to test the neutral switch and got readings of resistance in drive thru 1 st gear . Nothing for everse netral or park . My Genysis would say I didn't do the test in park or neutral . I replaced the switch and still nothings changed .
I have scanned many an OBD1 Ford and I have NEVER done it with the throttle open. Doing that has to return high voltage on the TPS.

The only thing that ever requires holding the throttle open is taking a compression test.

I have OBD II and I think I found my problem . A diode that runs the system is bad .Will let you know !!! thanks
No, you don't have OBD2 in a 92 Vehicle.

Youare right I am bad !!!!I have a OBD I .Okay I replced the bad doide and still nothing . I am frustrated because my scanner tells me everything has too high of voltage . It does tell me to hold throttle down during KOEO . My horn doesn't work at the pad could this be connected also could a bad alternator caues any of my problems ? Seems like a while back I cked the charging and it seemed a little weak > I am at loss here where should I go now ?
Another question could it be the ECM ? Thanks for your help !!!!
