Headlight bulb on a 1999 nissan sentra GXE

I changed the headlight bulb on my 1999 Sentra GXE and went to check it after I completed and the hi beam light on the dash will not go off now and When I do activate the hi beams the bulb I changed goes dim. Is it a H7 globe? (2 pin) You may have installed it the wrong way round. But this still doesn't explain the high beam light on the dash...Let me look into it more.
