1980 chevy (C10) 350 fuel pressure problem

Hi. I have a 1980 chevy C10, Having trouble with fuel presure, the bowl (filter)will only keep enough fuel in it to keep it running, I replaced the pump but got no change, I connected a second supply tank to the inlet line of the pump and got no change. I disconnected the line to the carb. to alow fuel to run into a jug while the engine was running and it pumps gas with no problem. its like it builds up to much pressure between the pump and carb. what can i do.

Not sure what you mean by this "bowl - filter?"

The housing and small filter that screws into the carb is a problem spot if even the smallest debris is allowed past filter will cause problems with the needle valve.

Guessing, I think you may be ok if you remove the filter, spray carb clean in that hole to carb (careful not to lose spring and fine 1" plastic seal on housing) and NEVER use thread sealer or tape there!

If that doesn't work you'll need to take top off of carb to clean it all up - doable but not for the timid,
