I put my truck in the shop he's telling me he has to remove the intake to change a heater hose he said the bypass conecter broke and now he has to remove the intake to fix it that don't sound right to me I just want a second apinion I thought water only went into the motor in the front.
You didn't say what engine but a lot of vehicles require removal of major engine parts to do a relatively small job. May be hose to metal back to hose at front - not sure. Nothing new with that, some small stuff requires lifting an engine out so be happy,

I have been working with these guy for a while and spent over 4000 on this truck I'm just nervous spending all this money thank you for the info and it is a 6 cylinder I just never heard of a heater hose cuming out of the back of the motor
I don't know the engine intimately but if you follow rear known cooing hoses you may see that it sends one or more under the intake manifold with a clamp you really can't deal with when manifold is in place.
That's a '94. Look at all the junk! I can barely see the hose I think you need with a clamp just higher than where that Lever/vent radiator cap is suggesting your tech is right if back end is outta sight!
