fuel in the oil 924 Turbo

I bought a Porsche 924 Turbo to work on and fix up.
When I drained the oil I found it had fuel in the old oil.
Before I add new oil and contaminate it, I would like to know how fuel got in the oil and what to repair to stop it from happening again

Thank you to anyone that has advise.
Tim
Does this have a mechical fuel pump on engine? I don't know my Porches by # so if it does it could be that or carb or fuel injectors leak down a lot flooding it out,

The system has an electronic fuel pump with fuel injection, I forgot to mention the car is a 1980

Tim The injectors must leak or over do with fuel that doesn't atomize and gets past pistons into the oil. I can't think of another way. It must run terribly,

I have only started the car a couple of times and it ran fine. it has a cold start system on it which is just a fifth injector that acts like a choke.
The guy I bought it from says it needs a warm up regulator which I am not quite sure of its function.
Also the oxygen sensor light was on and i know that can affect the fuel delivery.

Thank you for you interest.
Tim That cold enrichment injector has to be the problem or the control of it. Good luck with the fix,
