1978 motorhome transmission gitting hot

1978 motorhome has a 747 trannie. rebuilt less than 1000 miles ago . the trannie has a heat guage and it shows a high temp when i git in a incline . the incline arenot that steep . i am in the south part of ga. before i had it rebuilt i went through the mountains cross mt. eagle 2 times with no probablems . the last time i took it out it blew a seal . when putting in gear onley it would pour out the frunt of the trannie . thanks for any info . has the same cooler as before and i blew it out with air hose pipes to . sorry about the double post

. did install a new torque converter . i was told that to much stall would do it but the converter is a regular type not a stall. Why did you have to get the trans rebuilt in the first place ? What failed on the trans ?? Its possible that the failure caused trash to be deposited into the cooler causing a restriction. I know you said that you blew it out but it still could have restrictions. Get it flow tested. Does this motorhome have an external cooler or is it built into the radiator. If it is built into the radiator, then I would consider getting an external with a cooling fan.

checked the trannie no vent on top guess he was rong still havent got it to the trannie mechanick ben sick with a virious . and he was out of town . the converteris a stock not a stall acording to the parts store i got it from.
would like to find out why it gits hot when it is in hills that itent that steep will put a extry cooling system on it . hope to not have to pull it again.
