transmission and Headlight problems

My 97buickskylark 2.4L 4cylinder has a red color fluid leak. The fluid is not a have a greasy/oily feel so I am assuming it is a transmission leak. What could be wrong?

My headlight went out the other day. regular beam. When I hit my left headlight with my hand it came back on. Everytime I start my car I have to hit my headlight for it to come on. My right one doesn't come on at all. I just replaced both right and left headlights about a year ago.
Is it an electrical problem or do I need new bulbs.

The car has 175,000 miles "Finallyown"

You are right in assuming that red color could be transmission fluid.

Exactlly where is it leaking from?

About your headlights: It could be anything from a burnt out bulb to a bad conection.

Here's a Tip: If you have the headlights that take a bulb instead of having sealed beams: when you handle the bulb, make sure that you don't handle it with your bare hands. I always put on a pair of clean gloves when replacing these bulbs. The reason for this is that these bulbs are halowgean bulbs Car Repair Talk's forum.
