O/D light keeps flashing

'06 Ford Escape, automatic. The O/D lights keeps flashing & will not turn off after button is pushed. Also car jerked moving forward from red light. Car jerked once again about 2 blocks down the street. Checked fluid and it was full. Any one else had this problem? Any solution?

That light flashing is the vehicle's way or informing you that the Transmission Control Module has found a problem and it then stored a specific trouble code for a technician to retrieve. This will require the use of a factory scan tool that you will only find at either the dealer or a trans speciality shop. Once they read the codes, they can give you a better idea how serious your problem may be.
