I'm wondering if any of you can help with this issue.
I have recently purchased a 99 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 within the last 3 months. About a week ago i noticed some big problems with shifting. When i punch the gas the truck accelerates to a certain point then seems to down shift, the tac goes crazy high and the oil pressure drops. If i let off the gas things return to normal. In addition the truck seems to stutter a little bit in all acceleration.
If you have any ideas let me know
Well, it seems you have a trans prob....or a sensor related to it, the only advice I can offer is to have it tested...AAMOCO does it free if you tell them that autozone sent you
well man seems like you got a heck of deal on this truck sorry to hear that. But this could be even a bad ground issue as well. I would have a trusted trans shop take a look. And do some research before just choosing any shop. Ask your friends and nieghbors everyone! Allow for a diagnostic and then see what your issue really is.
