Can anyone out there tell me how to check the transmission fluid level on a 97' Cavalier, it has been jerking when it is put into drive. If there is anyone out there who would answer this for me? I am truly stumped on how to check it, Thank you to whomever will give me the answer....
The dipstick is probably a black ball looking thing (it may be a color) and you do have to hunt for it a bit but it's there. You'll find it on the trans I think driver's side near back (firewall side) but may be toward front,
To Mr. Greanleaf, the transmission is an encased transmission, no dip stick anywhere, any other solutions?
This is an automatic trans?? It has a dipstick! That's where you check the level and add if needed. Look in your owner's manual and it will discuss it in length and may have a pic to show you where it is,
