95 cadillac seville sts wont shift

have a 95 cadillac seville sts that wont shift, reverse works fine but only one forward gear, possibley 2nd, 4.9 northstar engine and 140,000 on odometer, could it be a shift solinoid? also on message center on gauge pnl it says to change tranny fluid and traction disabled. any suggestions greatly appreciated
