I have a 2001 honda accord and I can't get it to go in gear. I'm confused because it's an automatic and I can't get it out of park..can anyone help..
is the steering wheel locked in one spot? sometimes you need to turn the key and spin the wheel to get this to be able to unlock park.
Some cars won't shift out of park if brake light switch doesn't work. If your brake lights don't work that is likely it. I think this car may have a shift override slot in console that may accept any key and it will override. If you are on a steep hill and a lot of force is on the parking paul (device that holds in park but should use parking brake to take load of of it) then it will be hard to get out of park,
