1994 Ford Mustang Transmission issue

as I posted in the other forum I believe it is a model year 94 although it could just as easily be a 95 base model 76,000 Miles (give or take)

in addition to the headlight problem I posted in the other sub forum, I have a transmission issue in which the car takes several minutes to get out of park and into drive. It is worse during the night time and I assume the reason for that is temperature however, if I drive the car and park it, turn it off and leave it there for a few hours I can shift into gear just fine

I was thinking this was going to be transmission fluid isssue (cause of the night time being more difficult to switch gears) but, the car shifts from 1st to 2nd etc... just fine once it gets going.
sounds like some of the seals inside the trans have gotten hardened up, and start to get pliable when temps go up. The only sure fix is to overhaul it if thats what is indeed happening. I view most additives as snake oils that mask problems, but TransX might help. You may have to drain off some fluid to add it to ensure it doesn't get overfilled. Speaking of fluid levels, what level is your trans at? This could be as simple as low fluid level. If full, and TransX works, please realize this is merely a band-aid, not a repair.
Just questions:

Is this just a problem of getting the shifter out of park like you aren't pressing on the brake?

Model year: It isn't totally relevant but why is that difficult to know? Is it a salvage car?
