01 Hyundai sonata CD player problem

My son decided to insert some coins into the cd player on my 01 hyundai sonata. The radio works, but frequently it will think a CD in inserted, cut off, and then come on again. I would like to remove the radio, and attmpt to remove the coins that way, since I've not been able to get them out so far. Any ideas, help, suggestions, etc. would be certainly appreciated, I miss not listening to my CD! Well give your son a pat on the back for me. Sorry had to say it. But to the actual answer, there is a mechanical lever just inside the slot opening for the cd player, and when the cd pushes this lever down that is what actuallt changes the radio to CD mode and tells the unit to pull the cd in. What i'm assuming is happening is that the coin(s) are right on or next to this lever and when you jar them enough they push it down momentarily. I would NOT recommend trying to remove the coins yourself, as the cd mechanism is very complex and sensitive. Look on

www.ebaymotors.com,

find another hyundai radio (there's many) and use that. Altogether with the radio and shipping i bet you could come out under 50 bucks. Hope this helps.
