Pioneer FH-P8000BT ground problem

Ok so i have the above radio... i smelled a burning smell one day... but didn't really think much of it... now... if i have my radio plugged in through the pre amp outputs there is very loud noise coming through my amps and speakers. Idk what to do any help would be great... i have checked all the ground. my car is a 1992 acura vigor

thanks
sounds like you may have blown a ground trace to the rcas. it's a fairly common problem with pioneer decks, as the ground trace is usually fairly thin. try running a wire from ground to the rca shield, if the sound goes away that is the problem. a quick and dirty fix is to run a wire from ground to the rca shield and solder it in place. otherwise you can repair the ground trace inside the head unit.
Hi thanks for the info... you don't have any pictures or anything to help me find the rca shield?.... i'm not very experience in the audio field... i'm more of a computer guy any more help would be very apreciated
the rca shield is the outside metal part of the rca cable. if you think of it as two circles, the inner (the part that plugs into the small part of the rca jack) and the outer circle, the ground is the outer circle.
