2001 Dodge Durango AM/FM/CD/Cassette no sound

The sound suddenly went out on my Durango's audio system. The unit still comes on and it seems that all functions are operating there just is not any sound. I have checked all appropriate fuses in the fuse box and they are OK. Any suggestions?
Did you disconnect the battery before this happened?

If you have the radio code try disconnecting the battery, also check that all levels of bass / treble and the rest are in the center for trouble shooting reasons.
