1999 car honda accord 4dr stereo wiring

I rear ended someone about a month ago, since then I haven't been able to play the stero that was in the car. So I had mine from a car Itotaled, bought an adapter, spliced the wires, but the connection seems dead. I did find one of the fuses just of the battery blown, so I replaced that one, but still no luck with connection. I have a screw driver with a lite and positive and neg wires, grouinded it and stuck it every hole of the car's stereo connection and did not get a lite of any of them. I am at a total loss, and would appreciate any help you can give me.
If power at both sides of fuse now then you gotta hunt for where they got cut in the accident,
