I think I need new shocks for my 2002 Buick Park Avenue. It has 48,000 miles, and lately the rear bounces quite a bit when going over bumps in the road with the car loaded down.
Should I consider Buick shocks, or buy Monroe, Midas, etc.?
Thank you. I allways say go with OEM.(That is factory or original.)
You will never go wrong with factory parts. You can't beat that new stuff either.
Now, are you sure it is your shocks and not your springs? I do not know if it is the shocks or springs. I'm a sales rep, and have loaded the trunk down with fabrics and catalogs. When I have people in the back seat, go over a bump, it really bouces too much.
What do you think? I still have warranty on car. Is this a warranty concern? You likely have struts, not shocks, on your car. These do the same thing only better. And they cost more, and the labor charge is greater. But they are what your car needs.
You'll not go wrong with OEM parts. And there is not much good one can say about Midas.
