1991 honda accord lx fuse issues

omg, i swear if its not one thing its another!!! okay now i am haveing fuse issues in my 1991 honda accord lx, i have installed an aftermarket stereo in it almost 1 month ago and today i am leaving work, again, i have the car started put the face to by stereo on, and it turns on i get to the freeway and it shuts off, well i didnt know that it had took out my brake lights and my turn signal lights until i get pulled over for no brake lights, well i check my fuses and 3 of my fuses were blew, so i stop at auto zone get some new fuses put them in and everything seems to fine again, well.... my stereo blew again, but now my seat belt dinger will not shut off, so i put in another fuse, stereo fine but the dinger will not shut off, i had checked both fuse boxes and they all all fine, okay.. well then the stereo blew again dinger went off, i put in a higher amp fuse dinger is off stereo is on but then about 5 minutes goes by and stereo blew again? any one have any suggestions? im going crazy here! help me pleeze

Take that thing back to who ever installed the stereo and get them to check there work for shorts this is not a normal thing and who ever installed the radio is probably at falt for whats going on and the one who will find the problem the fastest . He should also fix it for nothing if he's any kind of an honest bussness man.

I AM THE ONE THAT INSTALL THE STEREO, BUT I BOUGHT THE WIRE HARNESS ADAPTER FOR THE CAR AND ALL I HAD TO TO WAS CLICK IT TOGETHER BUT THERE HAS BEEN NO PROBLEM FOR A WHOLE MONTH WHY WOULD I START HAVING PROBLEMS NOW? Check the wiring to the radio to make sure that all connections are secure and that no wires are shorting to ground. If you find no problems with the wiring disconnect the power to the radio and see if the fuse still blows. If the fuse still blows with the radio power disconnected you will have trace out and check every component in that fused circuit until you find the problem. Check where you took things apart look for pinched wires where you took the dash board apart double check everything if the prob started right after the radio instlation thats the first place to look.

I HAD THE INSTALLED THE STEREO FOR ALMOST A MONTH BEFORE THIS PROBLEM OCCURED? I HAVE BEEN OVER IT AND I AM STILL HAVING THE PROBLEM??

I FEEL SO STUPID

BUMP Does the fuse blow with the stereo face disconnected? I know you said you had checked all over the wiring, but is it a possibility that the wiring adapter you purchased is longer than it needs to be and is rubbing metal under the dash? SOmetimes when you try to check your own repairs it is extremely hard for you to spot it. I have "gremlined" myself many times and could not find it, but someone else walks up and points it out. Do as Venturi suggested and disconnect the stereo and see if fuse still blows. Could just be coincidence that it started then. May not be stereo installation. Good luck. WELL I HAD PUT A 50 FUSE IN IT, I DONT KNOW HOW SAFE THAT IS BUT IT HASNT BLOWED YET. A FRIEND OF MINE TOLD ME NOT TO THAT, BUT I HAD TOOK THE STEREO OUT AND IT STILL HAD DID IT? SO I AM LOST AND CONFUSED ABOUT THE WHOLE THING. IS A 50 FUSE GOING TO HURT ANYTHING IS MY NEXT QUESTION? IT ONLY REQUIRES A 20. PLEASE GET BACK WITH ME ANYONE AND THANX FOR ALL THE SUGGESTIONS THIS FAR!! The 50 A fuse can cause some wires to overheat if there is a short to ground. If it overheats enough, it can cause a fire. Check everything else that fuse feeds and see if you can pinpoint the problem. If it blows with the stereo out of vehicle, I would look at other circuits on same fuse.
