I have a 1998 Ford Windstar GL passenger van. It has an door lock remote that was factory installed. I would like to disable it altogether. How can this be done? Simple directions if there is a simple way. Thank you all. Not sure exactly what you mean by disabling door lock remote system. What part of the system is giving you trouble? Since it may have a theft deterrent system built into it, we cannot give you information on how to disable it. are u talking about disabling the 'autolock' function where the doors automaticaly lock when u start driving? if so, the procedure is in the owners manual. if u aint got the manual, let us know and we can help u with it.
