93 ford ranger 2wd voltage problems

Hey, I got a 93 ford ranger 2wd 2.3L, Problom is that my battery light is on and my voltage is about 10v or so, I changed the battery, alternator and the starter solenoid, I've checked the grounds and there tight and look good, The belt is tight and the voltage regulator is new with the alternator. So now I'm lost. Can anyone help. Thanks In the engine compartment fuse block check to see if the 15 amp alt fuse is good. If it is, let us know, so we can give you more information. I've checked the fuses, I have one 20 and 2 15 amp fuses and they are all just fine. A side note, when the engine is running and I pull the neg off the battery the engine dies. some fords back then had a problem with the wiring connector on the alternator going bad. u could try unplugging it and check it real close for signs of burning, melting, etc. do I want to check the single wire or the muti wire plug, I've inspected the main blk/org wire that goes from the alternator to the strating soleniod and thats in great condition. the multi wire plug. them wires lead back to the ignition switch, battery lite and voltmeter, and a connector problem can booger up the current flow and cause problems.

i aint saying for sure thats the problem, i just tossed it in cause i know its been a problem on some fords, and its easy enough to check the connector. in fact while your at it, follow the wires back from the connector as far as u can and check for breaks, wore off insulation, etc. At the alternator regulator connector you should see battery voltage on the light green/ red wire with the ignition on. The yellow/white wire should have battery voltage all the time. Ok so I got everything fixed, The problem was the alternator fuse as well as the wires on the starter solenoid got wired wrong. It's all working great now. Thanks for helping me out. ok, glad u got it figured out! And thanks for letting us know the outcome.
