2000 Chevy Impala ABS and Traction OFF Light

When i start my car and hold the brakes the ABS and Traction Off light will NOT come on, but when i let off of the brakes they both come on. The brakes work fine. I have a new wheel bearing installed and thought it might just be a bad sensor on the new bearing but i got that replaced and the lights still come on. I have also added brake fluid but no luck.. Any ideas? You'll have to get hold of a high end scanner or take it to someone that has one and get the ABS system scanned for trouble codes. The ABS system and TCS system are both controlled by the same controller (EBTCM). It is probably storing one or more codes and would give you a better idea where to look to resolve your problem.Car Repair Talk's forum.
