K, Im usually pretty good about troubleshooting, but my education regarding front ends of front wheel drive vehicles is pretty limited. The deal is, when I drive the car in a stright line the front passenger side wheel sounds like its going to come off. Jacked it up and, yes, the lugnuts are tight. The sounds frequency increases as the speed increases so it must be something rubbing each revolution or the tire. The only time the noise goes away is when I put my brakes on firmly, like to stop comepletely. Just to slow down, it wont go away, but when I actually am going to stop, the noise and all vibration ceases.
Rotars? Ball Joints? Tie Rods? prolly not CV, right? any help from you fellas would be awesome. Thanks.
Luke Have you pulled the wheel on that side and inspected the brakes? Make sure that the caliper mount is tight and the pads aren't worn down and eating the rotor up.
