i have a 1996 dakota 3.9 all my lights work but the head lights ??? i have replaced the light swicth and the flash to pass swicht also have new bulbs for head lights and all fuses or good .... so where is my problem AT please help me
a bad ground is a good possibility. u can check it with a dvom set to resistance.
unplug the headlite connectors and touch one lead to the connector terminal for the black wire. touch the other lead to the negative battery post or another good metal ground. u should see continuity. do this on each headlite.
if u get a open circuit (no continuity), youll need to trace the black wires back from the connectors to the ground point and check for a broken wire, bad splice, loose connector, etc.
if u do get continuity, then theres a problem on the power side of the circuit, and we can walk u thru how to troubleshoot that. let us know what happens.
