1994 Grand Marquis Cylinder Head Question

I have a mercury 1994 Grand Marquis that has a ford 4.6L V8 Engine which to my knowledge is the same block that is used in the Mustang GT. My Drivers side cylinder head needs to be replaced so I found a mustang GT cylinder head on ebay would this head fit my car?

I refer to my attached signature below. From reading different sources I don't think those heads are exactly interchangable. The mustang's head may bolt up to the mercury's block but there is probably a difference in combustion chamber design.



If you notice in the picture after 95, the open combustion chamber included a swirl fin. The best way to find out if they are compatible is to do a side by side comparison or seeing if the casting numbers are the same.
