hi, warrenty, junk yard



my 1989 6 cyl? or 4? i think 6 european celebrity
compressor broke and i dont have the  $ to fix it
where cna i get a cheap  compressor?  that will either  allow the a/c to work and run the car or just  the latter
price range
for used and new

if not practical what is more strategic
?
junk the car
or sell it for scrap?

Hello,
     I would say the most economical way to get an A/C compressor is to get one from a junk yard. Most of the time they will have a 30 day warrenty on them so if they are locked up you can exchange them. you need to make sure you retro-fit your a/c to R134a. If you do that you may be able to get away with spending less than a hundred bucks.A can of R134a is about 10 bucks a can and you will probably need three.
