1998 Mustang coupe 3.8L V6
Having problems with car starting intermittently and now not at all. I ordered a fuel pump, but before installing this I would like to check the fuel pump relay first. Do you know where the fuel pump relay is located on the 98 mustang? I cannot find it in the manual.
Thanks!
Thomas
Answer
well if your having problems starting...I would look for and electircal diagnoses such as battery or starter..If you can get it started and then it dies thats when you should think of fuel problems. if your pump relay was going out or went out being that your car is 98 you should get engine light/codes...Go run diagnoses @ auto zone for free... But I would check your battery, starter connections, spark plugs/wires also. LIKE I SAID IF YOU CAN GET IT STARTED and THEN its DIES... only then you should think fuel problem. Your relay will be in your fuse box either in engine bay(follow diagram) or under dash. Good Luck
