my daughter has a ford tauras 2002 and has nothing but problems with it. she hears a noise when turning a corner and thinks it has something to do with transmission. do you know what could be causing this?
Answer
Hey Francoise,
What kind of noise does she here. Most noises that are transmission related usually get worse with vehical speed or transmission speed . If its a clicking noise only when she turns the wheels one way or another then it very well could be a bad CV axle. You can look at the axle and tell if its bad. Go to the inside of the wheel and look for the large boot and shaft. if the boot is torn open, thats the culprit. Let me know the nature of the noise and we can go from there.
Gordon.
