Is an engine the same as a motor? My VW needs a new engine and I found a Porsch 914, 1.8 liter motor for it. I just want to know that it's gonna fit.

As far as everyday talking an engine an a motor are the same. Technically speaking an engine runs and a motor is powered.(Gas engine, electric motor.) As far as fit I would check with a vw or porshe dealer.( try to sneak in the shop and ask one of the mechanics they would know the best out of any one.)
