I have a 1999 Acura CL 3.0 6 Cylinder. I want to put a cold air intake in but i can not find any parts that are made specifically for my car. they may have an 2001 acura cl 3.2L cold air intake and others but not mine. But most of the intake systems are for Integras.I just want to now how to determine the right size for my car. does it matter if the year or make of car is different? Does the amount of cylinders matter? Do you have any suggestions of types, brands, sizes that will fit my car. Thanks alot for your help.
Answer
Nate I would start by actually calling the manufactures tech lines and asking them if they have a listing. A lot of times the do not list all applications that they make. If they don't have a current listing you can always ask if they can make you one. As far as using one from a different year and engine size, I wouldn't recommend it. They are different for a reason. If you have no luck with any of these you might just have to trade it in for and Intergra!!
