Rear Pads, rear disc brakes, advance auto parts

Hey Gordon.

Thanks for the attached reply. I will try the Bendix IQ pads for my Mazda.
Can you tell me if I can get them at my local Advance Auto Parts Store in NJ or are they a special order?

Thanks again

Hi Gordon

Can you recommend a good quiet rear brake pad for a 2001 Mazda 626, 2.5 with rear disc brakes.

Recently installed Bendix Rear Pads and they are noisy. Also installed new shims, cleaned and greased caliper pins and slides, as well as applied anti squeal to the backs of the pads.

Also, are Bendix pads known to be noisy?

Thanks for the advice

Hey Mike,
I'm really surprised to hear that you were having a problem with the Bendix pads. They are really good pads. Because of your current issues, I recommend going back and swapping your pads.Maybe trade up to the Bendix IQ type. IQ stands for "Import Quiet."I have yet to have a problem with those. I would also recommend that you consider having your rotors resurfaced,or purchasing new ones.  I know that there are some parts stores that can resurface rotors right there in the store, but if they don't offer that service, they can definately point you in the right direction as far as where to go. Good luck!

Answer
Hey mike,
They should be available at any Advance but they may take a day or two to get them there. I do think you'll be more happy with them. Oh, here's the part number for you.D584IQ. that may help in locating them. Good luck.

                                 Gordon.
