The heating system on my Buick is not functioning properly. It is not putting out the heat it should. The serviceman at the dealer said it needed a control head and processor to the tune of $1100. Is there an aftermarket in auto parts that is , remanufactured parts, that could be bought cheaper and be installed by a competent mechanic as a lot less cost?
Thanks for your reply.
Answer
This is a tricky one....being that you car is 2001 this might be a dealer item/part. you might get lucky with auto zone or an auto part store. But yes you are correct..you can find reman part at a local salvage yard, and any certified mechanic could do this for you. When it comes to electronic parts be careful buying reman parts, make sure to get some kind of warranty..Good Luck
