How to replace headlight bulb on 95 VW Golf GTI

How do i replace the driver's side headlight bulb on my '95 VW Golf GTI? Please be as detailed as possible, i'm definitely a rookie at this sort of thing!

with the hood open look directly behind the head light. you should see an electrical connector going to the back of the light.this is the power wire for the bulb. unplug it. there will either be a small black retaining nut on the out side of the bulb connector or there will be two small wire clips holding in the bulb. remove the nut or slide the clips to the out side. your buld should now be loose to pull straight out. installation is the reverse. just be sure not to touch the glass on the bulb with your fingers. the oils will shorten the life.
