My "low amp" light on dash came on before my vehicle sputtered and cut out.It was reading 8 volts when it cut out. Battery is two months old and altenator was bad and was replaced today.Voltage started at about 13-14 volts and now back down to about 9 volts. What is going on!

sounds like you might have gotten a bad battery it happens quite a bit. if you have a bad cell or an internal short it will cause the alt to full charge. they can only do this for so long before they burn out. before you replace anything it is always a good idea to go through and inspect each connection for corrosion or loose/broken wires. make sure to look inside any plugs they are good for hiding problems.
