I have a 2000 Buick Regal LS with Monsoon Sound. A couple of weeks ago I noticed I could no longer receive AM Stations unless I was within 5 miles of the broadcast station. Does the whole radio need replaced, or is there a new part to fix this radio?
Answer
Hey Scott,
Iv'e come across this problem before and the most likely of problems is your antenna.I saw a car with the same problem and it turned out to be a mouse had chewed up his antenna wire.Try removing the radio and make sure that it is still pluged in, if so, you'll have to trace it to the fender(could be tricky). If everything checks out, it may be an internal problem with the radio. But,if that turns out to be the case there are plenty of places that can repair your factory radio without replacing it totally. Good Luck....
Gordon.
